You send photos.
We do the selling.

Send photos, the dimensions and the brand if you know it to consign@whatsnewfurniture.com. We reply within 1–2 business days.
Bring it in, or we’ll pick it up.
Once your piece is approved, drop it off at our Portland store any weekday before 5 pm, or book a pickup. We give it a final look when it arrives.
We price it, photograph it and list it.
Our team sets the price, then puts your piece on the showroom floor and in our online store.
It sells. You get paid.
You get 50% of the sale price by e-check or direct deposit, or 60% if you’d rather have store credit.
What we’re looking for.

Bring your approved pieces to our Portland store, where we’ll give them a final look and set up your consignment agreement. A few free spaces are behind the building; when the lot is full, we cover your street parking.

How much do I make?
You get 50% of the final sale price, paid by e-check or direct deposit. If you’d rather have store credit, you get 60% to spend at What’s New.
Can you tell me what my piece is worth?
Our team sets the price after seeing your photos and details, and confirms it when the piece arrives. We don’t give price or payout estimates before then.
Can I just bring my furniture in?
Please email photos first. We don’t evaluate walk-ins, and we can only take pieces once they’re approved. Approved pieces can be dropped off at our Portland store, 439 SE Grand Ave, any weekday before 5 pm.
How much does pickup cost?
Pickup is $195 for the first approved item within 20 miles of the store, plus $50 for each additional item. Farther than 20 miles, add $2 per one-way mile past 20, rounded to the nearest 5 miles. Two items in Portland cost $245; the same two items about 45 miles away cost $295.

The consignment term is 90 days. Prices may be marked down periodically along the way to help your piece sell. Your consignment agreement spells out what happens at the end of the term.
Where will my piece be sold?
On the floor of our Portland showroom, about 25,000 square feet, and in our online store. Our team photographs and lists it for you.
When do I get paid?
After your piece sells, by e-check or direct deposit. Your consignment agreement lays out the payout schedule.
Do you buy furniture outright or take trades?
No. We sell on consignment only.
