Browse living room furniture at What's New Furniture in Portland, with new, consigned, and custom options for everything you need to furnish your living space, from a single accent chair to a complete living room set.
Our living room furniture collection covers every piece you need to build a cohesive, comfortable space:
What's New Furniture is a place where you can shop brand-new living room furniture and consigned and pre-owned pieces in the same showroom. Our new inventory includes sofas, sectionals, and tables, and every piece is covered by its manufacturer's warranty (terms vary by brand). Our consigned pieces are approved and priced by our team, and they come and go fast.
Whether your home calls for mid-century modern, minimalist contemporary, rustic industrial, or timeless traditional, our buyers stock pieces across every major design style. Portland's eclectic neighborhoods deserve furniture that matches, from a sleek walnut coffee table for a Pearl District condo to an oversized sectional for a Beaverton family room.
How big should my sofa be for my room?
Measure the wall the sofa will sit against, then leave about 18 inches between the sofa and the coffee table and 30 to 36 inches for walkways. Mark the sofa's footprint on the floor with tape and check doorways and stairwells before you buy a large piece.
Do you sell complete living room sets?
Yes. You can furnish an entire living room from our showroom: sofa, accent chairs, coffee table, side tables, rug, media console, and shelving. Our team can help you coordinate pieces across styles and budgets, mixing new and consigned items to stretch your dollar further.
How do I mix styles in one living room?
Pick one anchor piece, usually the sofa, then repeat a wood tone, a metal finish, or a color two or three times around the room. Mixing new and consigned pieces works best when the scale matches.
Start with the largest piece and the room's main walking path, then add tables and lighting around it. Keep coffee tables and side tables within easy reach of the seats, and choose a rug large enough that the front legs of your sofa and chairs sit on it.
