Media Stands & Sideboards in Portland, Oregon
The right media stand or sideboard anchors a room: it organizes your electronics, hides the clutter, and sets the design tone for everything around it. What's New Furniture carries a wide selection of TV stands, media consoles, sideboards, credenzas, and entertainment centers, with both brand-new and consigned pieces.
What We Carry
TV stands and media consoles: Low-profile designs with cable management, open shelving for components, and closed cabinets for storage. Sized from compact 48" units for bedrooms to 72"+ consoles for large living rooms. Sideboards and credenzas: Originally dining room pieces, now equally at home under a mounted TV, in an entryway, or along a hallway. Deeper shelving and drawers make them versatile storage furniture. Entertainment centers: Full wall units with integrated shelving, cabinets, and a dedicated TV bay for a built-in look without the contractor.
Styles
Our team pulls from many brands to keep the style range wide. Mid-century modern consoles with tapered legs and walnut finishes. Modern and minimalist sideboards in matte black, white oak, and concrete. Industrial media stands with iron frames and reclaimed wood. Farmhouse and rustic credenzas with distressed finishes and sliding barn doors. Pieces come and go fast, especially consigned one-of-a-kind finds.
New + Consigned
Not every great media console needs to be brand new. Our consignment program brings in used sideboards, credenzas, and entertainment furniture. Every consigned piece is approved and priced by our team.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size media console do I need for my TV?
A good rule: the console should be at least as wide as your TV. For a 65" TV (about 57" wide), a 60–72" media console provides a balanced, proportional look. We carry units from 48" to 80"+.
What's the difference between a sideboard and a credenza?
They're closely related. Sideboards are typically taller (36" high) with legs, originally designed for dining rooms. Credenzas sit lower (25–30" high) and were originally office furniture. Today the terms are used interchangeably, and the main difference is height and leg style.
How do I manage cables behind a media console?
Look for consoles with rear cutouts or open backs, leave a few inches behind for airflow around components, and use cable ties or an inside power strip to keep wires tidy.
Measure before you choose. Check the wall width, the height of the TV above the console, and the depth, so the piece clears baseboards and doors.
