Cabinet to queen bed in under a minute.
One person, one motion. Here's the whole thing.
- 1Unlatch the top.
Two latches. Tip the front panel down and the hidden casters take the weight.
- 2Roll the bed out.
The back panel stays upright as your headboard.
- 3Unfold the mattress.
It's already inside. Make the bed and you're done.
Closing is the same in reverse. The fitted sheet can stay on.

"I was very worried the couch wouldn't fit."
They were great! I have stairs and tight corners; I was very worried the couch wouldn't fit. But they consistently reassured me, and they got it into my apartment beautifully.

Murphy bed, answered.
The questions people ask us most. Something else? Ask Joey, or call Portland at (503) 235-3454.
Is the mattress good for more than one night?
It's a 6-inch tri-fold queen with a gel memory foam layer over firmer support foam. It's a real mattress, not a topper, and it stays in the cabinet when you close it.
Does it attach to the wall?
No. It's a freestanding cabinet on hidden casters. No wall bracket, no studs, no installer.
How heavy is it, and how much weight does the bed hold?
The cabinet weighs about 300 lb. The maker tested the bed at 600 lb.
Will it fit through my door and up my stairs?
Closed, it's 26" deep, so it goes through a standard 32" doorway. It's heavy, so tell us about stairs, tight turns or a long walk when you order and we'll plan the delivery around them.
Can I leave it made up?
Leave the fitted sheet and a mattress pad on. Take off the top layer (flat sheet, duvet, pillows) before you fold it in. Most owners keep that bedding in the base drawer.
Is there a twin or full size?
Queen is the only size right now. If you need something smaller, ask us and we'll tell you what's coming.
How soon can I get it?
Each bed comes from our supplier's local warehouse. After you order, we call to set your delivery date. Need it by a certain day? Ask before you buy and we'll check.

Choosing a Finish
Each finish is crafted from solid wood. Prices reflect the hardwood species and level of hand-carving.
- Walnut ($3,495) — natural solid black walnut with prominent grain and warm brown tones. The top-tier option for lovers of raw, unstained hardwood.
- Artesian Black ($3,295) — solid mahogany with ornate hand-carved filigree door panels, painted black. Dramatic focal piece that reads as an heirloom.
- Artesian White ($3,295) — same ornate carved filigree, painted white. Coastal, bright, and romantic.
- Milan Black ($3,295) — solid mahogany with raised diamond-pattern door panels and brass hardware, painted black. Architectural and graphic.
- Milan White ($3,295) — diamond-pattern carving in a clean painted white. Bright, modern, tailored.
- Leaf ($3,295) — solid mahogany with hand-carved leaf motif inlays, natural warm brown. A nature-forward statement.
- New Traditions Black ($2,995) — solid mahogany with simple shaker panel doors, painted black. Clean modern look.
- New Traditions White ($2,995) — same simple shaker doors, painted white. Bright and versatile.
- New Traditions Espresso ($2,995) — simple shaker doors in a rich espresso stain. Warm and grounded.
- Seabreeze ($2,795) — solid acacia with weathered gray horizontal louver doors and driftwood finish. Coastal cottage feel.
- Timberline ($2,495) — solid acacia with horizontal plank doors in a warm natural finish. Most affordable, rustic character.
Styling Tips
Flank the cabinet with a slim nightstand and a warm-toned table lamp from our lighting collection so the setup reads as a complete bedroom even when closed. A low-pile runner in front softens the transition when the bed folds out, and a pair of dressers nearby keeps everything guest-ready.
Care
Dust the cabinet regularly with a soft dry cloth; wipe spills immediately with a barely damp cloth and dry at once. Natural walnut and leaf-carved mahogany benefit from an annual coat of quality furniture wax or walnut-safe oil to preserve the grain; painted and stained finishes simply need gentle wipe-downs with mild soap and water as needed. Rotate the mattress every 3–4 months for even wear, and air the cabinet out with the bed folded open once a month.
