What neighbors say about getting it home

Google reviews of our Portland store, and what each one means for the Abstract.

  1. I have stairs and tight corners; I was very worried the couch wouldn’t fit. But they consistently reassured me, and they got it into my apartment beautifully.

    For this piece

The first flight of stairs is on us; a second flight is $50, and $25 for each one after. Tell us about tight turns when we schedule.

  2. They communicated, called in advance, showed up on time and were super quick hauling away my old sofa and bringing in my new one all the way up 3 flights of stairs.

If an in-stock piece arrives boxed, you have 7 days to bring it back unused in its box for store credit. Pieces we order in for you, custom orders and floor models are final sale.

  3. Alicia was amazing while I was buying a sectional couch - she was professional and navigated gracefully through my challenges, making a decision and changing configurations.

Sizes, materials and care

The Abstract Dining Table earns its name on the tabletop: a checkerboard parquet of oak laid in alternating grain directions, so light moves across the surface differently from every seat. Clean geometric lines and solid wood legs keep the effect sculptural rather than busy — a true statement piece among our dining tables.

Details

  • Dimensions: 86.6" L x 39.4" W x 29.5" H
  • Seats: Up to 8 comfortably — full dinner-party scale
  • Top: Solid oak and oak veneer in a checkerboard parquet pattern
  • Character: Natural color variation in the oak makes each table genuinely one of a kind
  • Construction: Oak, oak veneer, rubberwood, and MDF; solid wood legs
  • Finish: Smokey Chestnut — a deep, warm brown
  • Assembly: Required; made by LH Imports

Styling Tips

A patterned top this confident wants quiet company — upholstered pieces from our dining chairs in solid tones let the parquet do the talking. Keep the centerpiece low and the table runner off; this is a surface meant to be seen. Build out the rest of the room from our dining room furniture. Call ahead to confirm current availability on this piece before making the trip.

Care
  • Dusting: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth following the parquet pattern
  • Cleaning: Use a barely damp cloth and dry immediately; skip harsh or abrasive cleaners
  • Surfaces: Use placemats and trivets — oak prefers protection from heat and moisture
  • Sunlight: Keep out of prolonged direct sun to keep the Smokey Chestnut finish even
  • Availability: Contact the showroom to check current status on this item
