Augustine Bench

A bench earns its keep by doing two jobs at once, and the Augustine leans into that: deep channeling runs the full 61-inch length in top-grain leather, so it reads as upholstered seating from the front and a clean surface from above. Set it at the end of a bed, along a wall, or at a dining table, and it never looks like the odd piece out in a bench lineup built for one room.

Eighteen inches high puts it at a natural seat height, and the channel-tufted top is flat and firm enough to hold a stack of folded throws or a tray of drinks without the cushions bunching, which is the usual failure point of a soft bench.

Styling Tips

At the foot of a bed, the Augustine reads as a landing pad, somewhere to set a bag or fold back a throw, and the channeling keeps it from disappearing against a patterned duvet. Pair the leather finishes with brass hardware elsewhere in the room from our dressers collection to keep the metals consistent.

Along a dining wall or under a window, it can also stand in for extra seating when a table seats more than its chair count from our dining chairs collection; just confirm the 18-inch seat height clears your table apron.
