Baden Bar & Counter Stool

The Baden keeps a bar and counter stool honest: a slim solid-nettlewood frame, a low back, and a seat that looks like it is floating rather than bolted down. Most colorways pair the wood with top-grain leather; the same frame also comes with a performance-fabric seat or a woven paper-cord seat.

It ships in two heights on the same 19-by-20-inch footprint, so a run of them lines a counter or island without eating floor space. The low back keeps sightlines open across a kitchen, which matters in a room that already has a lot going on.

Styling Tips

Line up three or four across an island and the low backs stay out of conversation. Pair leather colorways with a warm wood table from our dining tables collection, and let paper-cord sit closer to rattan or cane instead.

The Baden works equally well at a home bar cart or a kitchen peninsula. Keep the surrounding hardware warm-toned, brass or aged brass, and the wood tones carry the room.

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.

If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.

Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.

Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.

Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
