Sizes, materials and care

Blinn is a table built to grow. A turned, tapered base in solid oak carries a rectangular top in oak veneer with a worn, weathered finish, and breadboard extensions fold out from both ends to take the table from 88 inches to a full 124. It is a dining table that can seat eight most nights and comfortably fit a dozen for the nights that matter.

The base is substantial enough to anchor a real dining room, and the worn finish means it already looks settled in rather than brand new, which matters in a room that is going to see daily use.

Styling Tips

A table this traditional in shape carries almost any chair. Pair it with a run of dining chairs in a contrasting dark frame for definition, or keep everything in the same oak family for a quieter, more collected look.

Leave the ends clear when the leaves are folded away so the breadboard detail stays visible, and pull the table out from the wall when both extensions are in use. The worn finish hides everyday wear well, which is the point of a table meant to expand and contract with the guest list.

Care

Wipe spills immediately with a dry, soft cloth and use coasters, trivets and placemats under hot or wet items. Dust regularly with a soft, damp cloth followed by a dry one, and avoid furniture polish, chemical solvents or cleaners with ammonia, bleach or abrasives.
