Sizes, materials and care

Ivory boxes with a brown checkered pattern set into the surface in small pieces, finished with a brass clasp. The pattern is laid by hand, so the lines wander slightly and the boxes look made rather than printed. 12 inch and 14 inch, sold individually. More in home decor.

Styling

A lidded box is the most useful thing on a coffee table because it is the only object there that can swallow the remotes. Stack the 14 inch under the 12 inch and you have height, pattern and storage from one purchase.

Checkerboard has been everywhere for two years and this is the restrained version of it: brown on ivory rather than black on white, and small enough in scale that it reads as texture from across a room. More in decor and more.
