The Breckington wraps a 76-inch bookcase in a continuous rounded frame, so it reads as architecture instead of storage. The dark brown oak veneer is deep enough to anchor a light room and warm enough to keep a dark one from closing in. Four open shelves handle books and objects in equal measure. It is one of the taller pieces in our bookcase collection.

Styling Tips
At 76 inches tall and only 17 deep, the Breckington claims height without eating floor space, which is what you want in a home office or a narrow den. Fill the lower shelves with books and keep the top two lighter so the case does not read top-heavy. It pairs with the desks and storage in our office furniture collection.
Dark wood wants something to bounce against: a pale rug, linen curtains, a brass lamp. Two Breckingtons flanking a window make a built-in look for a fraction of the cost. Add a chair from our accent chairs and the corner becomes a reading spot.
Care
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth; wipe spills right away with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately.
- Skip ammonia, bleach and silicone-based polishes, which dull a glazed wood finish over time.
- Use coasters and felt pads under lamps and decor to protect the surface from rings and scratches.
- Keep out of prolonged direct sun and away from heat vents so the finish does not fade or check.

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.
If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.
Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.
Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.
Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
