Sizes, materials and care

A useful entryway starts with somewhere to set things down. The Tiburon Console Table combines a narrow solid acacia top with an open lower shelf, giving a lamp and a few favorite objects their own place without filling the walkway. Its simple frame works beside a front door, along a hallway or behind a sofa. Explore our console tables to compare shapes and sizes.

Styling

Place a tray on top for keys and leave enough clear surface to set down a bag. A basket on the lower shelf can hold everyday odds and ends while keeping the open frame visible. Measure the space around the table so the doorway and walking route remain comfortable.

Behind a sofa, keep a lamp or decorative object low enough to suit the seating arrangement. Pair the wood with a mirror above, or browse home accents for a small finishing detail. Choose a few objects with different heights and leave space between them so the table still feels useful.
