A straight copper body climbs to a rounded shoulder and a short collared neck, and somewhere around the midpoint the warm metal gives up and breaks into verdigris green, mottled and flecked the way real copper goes when it has been left out in weather. Styling
This is the anchor piece — put it where it has vertical room and nothing directly behind it, like the end of a console table or a mantel with an empty wall above. It reads best with one confident stem: a bare branch in winter, eucalyptus or a single long-stemmed bloom the rest of the year. The copper half wants warm wood and unbleached linen near it; the green half wants something in the room to answer it, so a sage cushion or a terracotta bowl a few feet away pulls the whole corner together. Care
- Wipe clean with a lint-free, dry cloth
- Indoor use only — sustained rain or sprinkler spray will keep the patina actively growing
- Not sealed for standing water: use a glass or plastic liner, or a florist’s water tube, for fresh stems
- Dry the inside fully after any contact with water
- Skip abrasive pads, metal polish and copper cleaner — all three strip the verdigris that gives the piece its colour
- Every piece is finished by hand, so patina coverage, tone and the exact line where copper turns to green vary from one to the next
