What neighbors say about getting it home

Google reviews of our Portland store, and what each one means for the Elsie.

I have stairs and tight corners; I was very worried the couch wouldn’t fit. But they consistently reassured me, and they got it into my apartment beautifully.

The first flight of stairs is on us; a second flight is $50, and $25 for each one after. Tell us about tight turns when we schedule.

They communicated, called in advance, showed up on time and were super quick hauling away my old sofa and bringing in my new one all the way up 3 flights of stairs.

Alicia was amazing while I was buying a sectional couch - she was professional and navigated gracefully through my challenges, making a decision and changing configurations.

Sizes, materials and care

A finely tailored take on dining seating. An armless honey-oak frame holds a fully upholstered seat and back in a neutral off-white performance weave, so the chair reads soft and clean at once. It is a dining chair built for a table that gets used daily, not just set for company.

At just over 20 inches wide and 34 inches tall, it is a true armless side chair. It tucks fully under the table and lines up cleanly around a long run without crowding the next seat.

Styling Tips

Because the frame is a warm honey oak and the upholstery is a neutral off-white, the Elsie sits comfortably at either a pale or a dark dining table without fighting the wood tone. It is quiet enough to run the full length of a table without competing with a bold light fixture above it.

Mix it with a pair of host chairs in a darker wood at either end for a collected, not-quite-matched set, or use it straight through for a calmer, more tailored table.

Care

Vacuum the seat with a soft brush attachment and blot spills right away; the fabric is a performance weave, so a water-based upholstery cleaner is safe for routine spots. Dust the oak frame dry. Indoor use only. Free front-door delivery in the Portland area on orders $1,500+, or white-glove delivery available.
