What neighbors say about getting it home

Google reviews of our Portland store, and what each one means for the Gervin.

  1. I have stairs and tight corners; I was very worried the couch wouldn’t fit. But they consistently reassured me, and they got it into my apartment beautifully.

  2. They communicated, called in advance, showed up on time and were super quick hauling away my old sofa and bringing in my new one all the way up 3 flights of stairs.

Sizes, materials and care

Eight matching chairs in stock is a rare phrase in a floor-piece store — and exactly what a full dining room needs to hear. The Gervin Chair Anthracite by New Pacific Direct seats the whole table in one trip: smooth recycled-leather upholstery in deep charcoal gray wrapped over a steel frame, with clean enough lines to suit any room it pulls up to. Browse it alongside our dining chairs.

Details

  • Upholstery: Recycled leather in anthracite — a deep charcoal gray with slim contrast piping
  • Construction: Powder-coated steel frame, fully wrapped — arrives assembled
  • Dimensions: 18.5"W × 21"D × 33.5"H; 18.5" seat height
  • Capacity: Supports up to 220 lbs
  • Availability: Eight in stock — enough for the full table, with spares for the desk
  • Wipeable: The smooth surface cleans up fast — a practical pick for everyday meals
  • Versatility: Dining seat, desk chair, or extra seating wherever the party lands
  • Also in chestnut: Gervin Recycled Leather Dining Side Chair, available to order

Styling Tips

A matched set of dark seats is the fastest way to make a dining room look decided: run six around a wood-top table from our dining tables and keep the last two flanking a console or serving a desk. Anthracite plays the quiet foil to warm walnut and oak, and it hides the evidence of daily life better than any pale seat will. If your room mixes seating styles, one or two also hold their own among our accent chairs. Finish the room from our dining room furniture.

Care
  • Dusting: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth regularly
  • Spills: Wipe promptly with a barely damp cloth, then dry
  • Cleaners: Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners on the recycled-leather surface
  • Sunlight: Keep out of prolonged direct sun to prevent drying and fading

A few more to fall for.
