I have stairs and tight corners; I was very worried the couch wouldn’t fit. But they consistently reassured me, and they got it into my apartment beautifully.

The first flight of stairs is on us; a second flight is $50, and $25 for each one after. Tell us about tight turns when we schedule.

Alicia was amazing while I was buying a sectional couch - she was professional and navigated gracefully through my challenges, making a decision and changing configurations.

A ladderback is usually the safe pick at a dining table. The Glenmore is not. Scrubbed solid oak is finished in a deep carbon that keeps the open grain visible instead of burying it, then drawn into three slender rungs so the back of the chair is mostly air. Underneath sits a natural-toned seat in a soft viscose-and-flax weave, which is what stops the whole thing from reading severe. It is a dining chair that makes a room look edited rather than furnished.
At 34 inches tall and just under 22 inches wide, it is a true armless side chair: it tucks fully under a table, lines up six-across without crowding, and leaves sightlines open in a small dining room where a solid-back chair would close the space down.
The carbon oak is dark enough to act as punctuation, so it does its best work against a lighter top. Set six around a pale oak or white-marble surface from our dining tables and the frames read as graphic lines rather than bulk. On a walnut or blackened table, the contrast collapses and you get quiet, tonal depth instead — both work, they just do different jobs.
Because the seat is a neutral and the frame is nearly black, the Glenmore mixes easily with cane, rush, or a pair of upholstered host chairs at the ends when you want a collected-over-time table rather than a matched set. Pull the rest of the room together from our dining room furniture, and keep the lighting warm — a brass or aged-metal pendant picks up the natural tone in the seat and keeps the dark frame from going flat.
Vacuum the seat with a soft brush attachment and blot spills rather than rubbing; the fabric is cleaning code W, so use a water-based upholstery cleaner only. Dust the oak frame dry and keep it out of extended direct sunlight. Indoor use only. Free front-door delivery in the Portland area on orders $1,500+, or white-glove delivery available.
