Sizes, materials and care

Instead of lying flat like most trinket dishes, this one stands up: a peacock's fanned, feather-textured tail forms the bowl, and the head and crest rise above it in a light champagne-gold finish. That extra height means it reads as a small sculpture even before anything's in it, which makes it a good pick for a nightstand or a dresser where you want more presence than a plain saucer gives you. Set a watch or a ring in it before bed and it's the first thing you'll see in the morning, and the upright shape means it still looks intentional on an otherwise empty surface.
