Hawthorne Desk

A boomerang-shaped top instead of a rectangle changes how a desk sits in a room. The Hawthorne is built from sungkai veneer, an organic-grained wood with a warm, distinctive character, and its curved top opens up the working surface without the visual bulk of a full rectangular slab. It is an office desk for a room where the desk itself is meant to be part of the design, not just a work surface pushed against a wall.

At 80 inches wide it comfortably fits two monitors and real working space, while the 32-inch depth leaves room to spread out paperwork without crowding a chair behind it. Three push-latch drawers keep supplies out of sight, and the base is interchangeable if you want to change the look later.

Styling Tips

The sungkai grain is warm enough to work as the wood note in an otherwise neutral home office, so keep the walls and flooring simple and let the curved top be the visual interest. Pair it with a chair from our office chairs collection in leather or a dark upholstery to ground the light veneer.

Because the top curves away from the body, it also reads well floated in a room rather than pushed into a corner, so consider it for a study or a bedroom nook where you want the desk to double as a piece of furniture worth looking at.

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.

If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.

Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.

Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.

Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
