I have stairs and tight corners; I was very worried the couch wouldn’t fit. But they consistently reassured me, and they got it into my apartment beautifully.

Alicia was amazing while I was buying a sectional couch - she was professional and navigated gracefully through my challenges, making a decision and changing configurations.

Upholstered all the way to the floor, the Hemphill trades the usual exposed-leg dining chair for something closer to a fully dressed seat, in a light, neutral fabric that will not fight whatever table or room it lands in. A smoked oak panel on the back, cut with splice detailing, is the one place the wood shows, and it is enough to keep the dining chair from reading as purely soft.
Casters on the base mean it slides in and out from the table without dragging on the floor, which matters more than it sounds like once you are pulling chairs in and out every night.
Because the fabric is a neutral and most of the chair is upholstered, it reads quiet enough to mix with a busier table base or a patterned rug without competing. The smoked oak back panel is the detail worth pointing toward a room, so keep the table setting simple and let the chair carry a little of the visual weight.
Pair it with a table from our dining tables collection in a lighter wood tone so the smoked oak back reads as contrast rather than blending in.
Vacuum the upholstery with a soft brush attachment and blot spills rather than rubbing. Dust the oak back panel dry and keep the chair out of direct sun. Indoor use only. Free front-door delivery in the Portland area on orders $1,500+, or white-glove delivery available.
