Julius Swivel Chair

An S-spring seat and a fully enveloped frame give the Julius its rounded, cocooning shape, and the whole thing spins a full 360 degrees. The materials do a lot of the work: a high, yarn-like boucle pile, supple shearling, or cognac top-grain leather all sit on the same frame, so the shape stays constant while the feel changes completely. As accent chairs go, this one photographs as soft as it is.

At 35 inches wide and 36 inches deep, it is scaled for a real lounging chair, not a slim occasional seat, and the swivel base lets it face a room, a window, or a conversation without being picked up and turned.

Styling Tips

A single Julius works as the one soft, sculptural piece in a room built from straight lines and hard surfaces; a pair flanking a fireplace reads more intentional than one lone chair. Set a small side table within reach so a drink does not have to travel far when the chair turns.

Shearling and boucle both want a room with texture already in it, wool, linen, unlacquered wood, rather than glossy surfaces competing for attention. Keep a low coffee table nearby if it is doing double duty as extra seating.

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.

If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.

Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.

Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.

Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
