The fern is cut rather than printed, so the cream frond stands off a flat black ground with a crisp, physical edge and a shadow line you can actually see when the light rakes across it. At twenty-seven by thirty-nine inches it is large enough to be the anchor of a wall, and the two assorted styles give you two different fronds — hang them as a pair and they read as a matched set rather than a duplicate. A small block of botanical notation sits at the base of each, like a herbarium label. Browse more wall art.

Styling
A pair, hung side by side with four to six inches between frames, is the version worth buying. The two fronds mirror each other loosely and the black grounds merge into one dark block from a distance, which gives an ordinary wall a piece of architecture it did not have before.
Because it is black and cream it works as a graphic element rather than as a colour, so it goes into rooms where a coloured painting would fight the upholstery. Over a sideboard, either side of a bed, or flanking a doorway, all good. The light natural frame keeps it from going gothic. If you only take one, centre it on a narrow wall where its height is the point — it is much better tall and alone than crowded into a gallery arrangement. More in home decor, bedroom furniture and decor and more.
Care
- Dust with a dry, soft brush — the cut edges will catch a cloth
- Do not use liquid cleaners on the cut paper element
- Wipe the wood frame with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately
- Hang out of direct sun; the cream will yellow unevenly against the black
- Use two hooks into studs or proper anchors — it is tall and heavy
- Assorted styles vary, so a pair will not be a mirror image of each other

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.
If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.
Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.
Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.
Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
