Our notes on this piece, including its condition.
A pair of Kartell Catwalk dining chairs in Light Gray brings that Italian design-house snap to a Portland table. Formed as a single molded shell, the Catwalk has a low, scooped seat and a rising back that reads almost architectural : clean contemporary lines with a little runway drama, which is how the name stuck.
Each chair is glossy polycarbonate, light enough to pull out with one hand and sturdy enough for daily dinners. At 21 inches wide, 20 deep, and 33 high, they tuck under a standard table without crowding a smaller dining room. Condition is good: the Light Gray finish is even, with the honest wear of a well-used consignment set rather than cracks or structural issues.
Seat them at a pale wood table or against a charcoal sideboard if you want the gray to stay quiet, or next to walnut and brass if you want contrast. They also work as spare seating in a studio apartment. Find them among vintage dining room chairs Portland shoppers actually sit in, not just photograph.
