Lou Desk Chair

Curved chrome arms wrap around an upholstered seat like a piece of 1960s Italian furniture brought current. The Lou desk chair takes its cues from that era's love of curvature, rounding a striking chrome frame into a cushioned seat and back rather than bolting straight metal arms onto a plain shell. It is an office chair with enough presence to sit in a living room, not just a home office.

At 23.25 inches wide it fits under most desks without crowding a keyboard tray, and an adjustable swivel base lets the seat height move with the desk it is paired with. Two upholstery options set the tone: a plain mushroom weave for a quieter look or a plum performance fabric with real texture.

Styling Tips

Because the chrome arms are as much sculpture as support, the Lou reads well pulled away from a desk and used as an occasional chair in a bedroom or living room corner. Pair it with a writing desk from our office desks collection in a warm wood to balance the cool metal frame.

The plum performance fabric holds up to daily use and adds real color to a room that is otherwise neutral, while the mushroom weave stays quiet enough to sit next to almost anything. Either way, let the curved arms stay visible rather than tucking the chair fully under the desk.
