Nate Dining Chair

Clean midcentury shaping gets an update through channeled, velvet-like upholstery in a greyish sage that reads more grown-up than a straight grey or beige. Tapered wooden legs and hand-applied brass nailhead trim add a little edge to what would otherwise be a fairly quiet dining chair. It looks equally at home at a modern table or an older one that needs something less literal than a match.

At just under 20 inches wide, the Nate tucks fully under a table and lines up close without crowding, so a full set of six or eight does not eat the room the way a wider upholstered chair would.

Styling Tips

The sage velvet and brass nailhead pair best with a table that has some warmth of its own, a natural or walnut-toned dining table rather than a cool grey or white one, so the brass has something to pick up on. It also reads well as an occasional chair at a desk if the dining room is not the only place it is needed.

Because the shape is fairly restrained, it is an easy chair to run a full set of without the room feeling overly matched; add one or two host chairs in a different silhouette at the ends for a more collected table.
