Mix these with the landscape version rather than buying six of one — the two heights and the two subjects give a cluster the variation it needs to look collected rather than ordered. Hang them close, two to three inches apart, and keep the cluster tight enough that it reads as one object from the doorway.
They are ideal above a small chest, flanking a mirror, or filling the awkward vertical strip beside a window casing.
