Styling
On a wall it is best somewhere slightly unexpected — beside a door frame, low on a stair wall, over a light switch — where you find it rather than face it. Vertical, head up, reads better than horizontal; the coil resolves properly that way.
Lying down it is a very good bookshelf object, weaving between a stack of books and a small vase, and it works on a bar cart or the corner of a desk. Gold sits with brass hardware, walnut, black metal and deep green paint, and it deliberately clashes with silver, so keep it away from chrome.
