About the Handcrafted Sapele Wood Accent Table

Our notes on this piece, including its condition.

This handcrafted accent table is a quiet showpiece in Sapele, a richly figured hardwood with warm ribbon grain. Made locally, it has the kind of small-scale presence that makes a consignment find feel personal : compact enough for a chair-side perch, finished with the care of a one-off rather than a catalog piece.

The top is a neat 18.5-inch square, and the table stands 21.75 inches high, a comfortable reach beside a sofa or reading chair. Solid wood construction keeps the lines clean and the footprint light. Condition is excellent, with the surface looking well cared for and ready to use.

Set it in a living room with a ceramic lamp and a stack of paperbacks, or let it anchor a bedroom corner next to linen bedding and a plant. If you are hunting accent tables Portland shoppers actually want to live with, this locally made Sapele piece earns a second look.
