Sizes, materials and care

White ceramic with a scalloped, fluted wall, so the light breaks down the sides in vertical bands instead of sitting flat. A plain white planter disappears; this one does not, while still being white enough to put anywhere. Sold individually in a 6 inch and an 8 inch. More in faux plants.

Styling

Use a liner or keep the nursery pot inside rather than planting directly, which is the difference between a planter that lasts and a ring on your sideboard. The 6 inch takes a small trailing plant; the 8 inch handles a decent pothos or a young fiddle leaf.

White ceramic and green foliage is the most reliable pairing there is, and the fluting stops it looking like a garden centre pot. Group the two sizes with something taller behind. More in home decor.
