Stoneware Leaf Shaped Plate, Green & White, 12"

A single long leaf, pressed in stoneware and glazed a deep garden green, with cream spots raised in wax relief scattered across the blade and the veins running out to a drawn point. It is the kind of piece that reads as an object first and a dish second — put it out empty on a windowsill and it still earns the space. Twelve inches end to end and barely an inch deep, so it slides into the gaps a round plate cannot: down the middle of a set table, along the back of a bathroom counter, on the shelf where the keys land. Styling

The narrow shape is the whole argument for it. Down the centre of a dining table it holds a row of figs, dates or a few chocolates without stealing the width you need for serving bowls; on a cheese board it takes the olives and keeps the brine off everything else. Two of them end to end make a long green line across a sideboard that a single round dish never gives you.

Off the table it works just as hard. On a nightstand it corrals rings, a watch and the reading glasses; by the sink it is a soap dish that does not look like a soap dish; on a desk it is where the paperclips and the good pen live. The green glaze pulls warm wood forward, so it looks best on walnut, oak or unfinished pine, and it sits naturally beside real plants — the spots echo a polka-dot houseplant closely enough that people notice. • Handle the drawn tip with care — it is the thinnest point on the piece

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.

If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.

Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.

Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.

Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
