Styling

Twenty inches is proper sofa-arm height, and the enclosed interior is the part that matters in a living room: remotes, chargers and coasters go inside instead of living on the marble. A side table you can tidy into is worth more than one you cannot.

It also works beside a bed, where the shelf takes the things a nightstand drawer would. Marble and dark reeded wood is a warm combination rather than a cold one, and it sits with leather, linen, brass and oak. More in living room and beds & bedroom.

• Dust the wood with a dry, soft cloth
• Wipe marble with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately
• Use coasters; marble stains from wine, citrus and oil
• No acidic or abrasive cleaners on the stone
• Open by the door edge rather than pulling on the reeding

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.

If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.

Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.

Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.

Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
