What neighbors say about getting it home

Google reviews of our Portland store, and what each one means for the Terracotta.

  1. I have stairs and tight corners; I was very worried the couch wouldn’t fit. But they consistently reassured me, and they got it into my apartment beautifully.

The first flight of stairs is on us; a second flight is $50, and $25 for each one after. Tell us about tight turns when we schedule.

  2. They communicated, called in advance, showed up on time and were super quick hauling away my old sofa and bringing in my new one all the way up 3 flights of stairs.

Sizes, materials and care

A rounded terracotta jug, twelve inches tall, glazed in mottled gray with rust breaking through where the surface catches. The handle arcs over the mouth and is wrapped in natural rattan, which is the whole trick: warm fiber against cool clay, and a reason for your hand to want to pick it up. The spout is small and slightly off-kilter, the way a hand-formed one is.

Styling

This one is happiest on a kitchen counter or an open shelf where the rattan can echo a basket or a wooden board. It is small enough to move around, so treat it as the piece you shift when a shelf needs warming up. Keep it away from other rattan-heavy objects; one is a note, three is a theme. More home accents.

A few more to fall for.
