What neighbors say about getting it home

Google reviews of our Portland store, and what each one means for the Toscana.

I have stairs and tight corners; I was very worried the couch wouldn’t fit. But they consistently reassured me, and they got it into my apartment beautifully.

The first flight of stairs is on us; a second flight is $50, and $25 for each one after. Tell us about tight turns when we schedule.

They communicated, called in advance, showed up on time and were super quick hauling away my old sofa and bringing in my new one all the way up 3 flights of stairs.

Alicia was amazing while I was buying a sectional couch - she was professional and navigated gracefully through my challenges, making a decision and changing configurations.

Sizes, materials and care

Toscana is built from four movable planks of reclaimed pine, stacked in a laddered frame that leaves each shelf open on both sides rather than boxed in. The reclaimed wood carries its own grain and color variation from board to board, so no two shelves look quite the same, which is the appeal of a bookcase built this way rather than from uniform veneer.

At 76.5 inches wide and just over 70 inches tall, Toscana is a genuinely large piece, built to hold a real library or a mix of books and display objects across a full wall.

Styling Tips

Because the frame is open rather than boxed, Toscana works as a room divider as easily as a wall piece, useful for splitting a larger open floor plan without closing it off completely. Pair it with a console table nearby in a similar reclaimed or weathered wood for a consistent, farmhouse-leaning look.

Because the shelves are movable, plan for heavier books lower and lighter display objects higher, both for stability and because the reclaimed wood shows off best without too much crowded onto any one plank.

Care

Wipe spills immediately with a dry, soft cloth and dust regularly with a soft, damp cloth followed by a dry one. Avoid furniture polish, chemical solvents or cleaners containing ammonia, bleach or abrasives, and keep the piece out of extended direct sunlight. Indoor use only. Free front-door delivery in the Portland area on orders $1,500+, or white-glove delivery available.
