About the Used Blue Sleeper Sofa

Our notes on this piece, including its condition.

A blue sleeper sofa that came through consignment, 92 inches wide with a pull-out bed folded inside it. Buying a sleeper second-hand is the sensible way to own one, because a guest bed spends most of its life as a sofa and almost none of it being slept on. Browse more consigned furniture.

Styling

At 92 inches it is a full-length sofa first and a bed second, so treat it as the main seat in a living room or the anchor of a home office that has to take an occasional guest. Leave clearance in front for the mechanism to open, which is more than the sofa depth suggests.

Blue upholstery is easier to live with than people expect: it reads as a neutral against wood, cream, rust and black, and it hides more than a pale fabric does. Layer a textured throw and let the colour carry the room. More in sleeper sofas & sectionals and used furniture.
