What neighbors say about getting it home

Google reviews of our Portland store, and what each one means for the Wood.

  1. I have stairs and tight corners; I was very worried the couch wouldn’t fit. But they consistently reassured me, and they got it into my apartment beautifully.

It measures 6X6. Send us a photo of the room and the way in, and we’ll help you check the fit. The first flight of stairs is on us; a second flight is $50, and $25 for each one after.

  2. They communicated, called in advance, showed up on time and were super quick hauling away my old sofa and bringing in my new one all the way up 3 flights of stairs.

Sizes, materials and care

An oversized jack turned from natural wood, six inches across in every direction. It is the shape from the childhood game blown up to object scale, and it works on a shelf for exactly the reason it worked in a playground: six axes, no wrong way up. More in decor and more.

Details

  • 6" x 6"
  • Turned natural wood
  • Sits stable on any three points
  • Grain and tone vary piece to piece
  • By Sagebrook Home
  • In stock at our Portland showroom

Styling

Most decor objects are round, soft or organic. A jack is none of those, which is why it fixes a shelf that has gone mushy with vases and bowls. Put it where the eye needs to stop.

It reads as sculptural rather than nostalgic in plain wood, so it belongs on an adult bookshelf as easily as in a child's room. One is enough. More in home accents.

Care

  • Dust with a dry, soft cloth
  • Wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately
  • Keep out of direct sun, which fades and dries wood
  • No solvents or furniture polish
  • Natural grain varies from the photograph

A few more to fall for.
