Green, rust, cream and a thread of blue cross each other in a plaid that never quite repeats the way you expect, and the fringe at either end is knotted rather than cut, so it holds together instead of shedding across the sofa. This is the cotton throw you actually use: light enough to leave out in July, heavy enough to matter in October, and cheap enough that nobody panics when the dog gets on it. Sixty by fifty covers one person properly. Browse more pillows and throw blankets.
Details
- 60"L x 50"W
- 100% woven cotton, yarn-dyed rather than printed
- Irregular multi-color plaid — green, rust, cream and blue
- Hand-knotted fringe on both short edges
- Yarn-dyed colour means the pattern reads the same on both faces
- Flat, breathable weave with no pile or brushing
- Machine washable, unlike most decorative throws this size
- From Creative Co-Op's Shoreline collection

Styling
Because it is yarn-dyed the reverse is as good as the face, so it can be thrown rather than arranged. That is most of its charm. The green keeps it from reading as a Christmas plaid, and the rust picks up leather and walnut, so it sits comfortably on a mid-century frame that a red-and-black check would fight.
Use it as the working throw and keep something plusher for looks: this one goes on the chair you actually read in. On a bed it makes a good foot-of-the-bed layer over a plain duvet, and folded on an open shelf the plaid does the same job as a piece of art at a fraction of the cost. Two of them on either end of a long sofa is a cheap way to make a big piece feel occupied. More in home decor, living room furniture and decor.
Care
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, alone or with like colours
- Tumble dry low or line dry — line drying keeps the fringe straighter
- Do not bleach; the yarn is dyed before weaving and bleach will strip it unevenly
- Comb the fringe out flat with your fingers while damp
- Warm iron on the cotton setting if the weave sets a crease
- Expect a little softening and a slight shrink on the first wash

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.
If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.
Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.
Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.
Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
