What a power lift chair does

A power lift chair is a recliner with a motor in the base. At the touch of a button the whole seat rises and tilts gently forward, so standing up takes almost no effort. Recline it the other way and it opens all the way into Stanton's Zero Gravity position, floating your legs level with your heart to ease pressure on your lower back and help circulation. Most of our models add independent power headrest and power lumbar, so you dial in neck and lower-back support separately.

Made to order in Oregon

Every lift chair here is built to order by Stanton in Canby, Oregon, with a lifetime warranty on the frame, cushions, springs, and filling. Choose from more than 250 fabrics and leathers — view the fabric & leather swatches — and most orders are ready in about 4 to 6 weeks. Need something sturdier? The Foothill Big Man's lift recliner has an extra-wide seat and a reinforced frame rated to 400 lb.

Who a lift chair is for

Lift chairs are a favorite for anyone who wants a little help getting to their feet — recovering after surgery, easing sore knees and hips, or simply staying independent and comfortable at home. They work just as well as an everyday recliner for the rest of the family. If you're not sure which model fits your height and needs, our team can walk you through it.
