    About Reclining Sofas & Sectionals

Shop recliners and reclining furniture in Portland: power recliners, classic recliner-and-ottoman sets, swivel gliders, and lift chairs, with reclining sofas and sectionals available to order.

    Power Recliners & Recliner-Ottoman Sets

The heart of this collection is seriously comfortable recliners: power recliners like the Helsinki, Milan, and battery-equipped Finn from Fjords (designed in Norway), plus classic recliner-and-footstool sets in multiple sizes. For the full range, browse the complete recliner collection or go straight to Fjords recliners.

    Swivel & Glider Chairs

Alongside true recliners you'll find swivel club chairs and swivel gliders, pieces that rock, turn, and lounge without the full recline mechanism. Many are built to order in your choice of fabric by makers like Stanton. See more in swivel chairs and recliners.

Reclining Sofas & Sectionals, Built to Order

Want the recline in a sofa or sectional? We order Stanton reclining loveseats and sectionals in the fabric or leather you pick. These are made-to-order pieces, so choose your configuration and mechanism up front. Custom orders follow the maker's build time, typically 4 to 14 weeks.

    Lift Chairs & Accessibility

We also carry lift/recliner chairs that tilt forward to help you stand, a practical pick for anyone with mobility concerns. Compare seat heights and how far the chair tilts to suit your height.

    Choosing the Mechanism

A recliner is a long relationship with a mechanism. Power recliners offer easy adjustment and smooth operation, while manual recliners are simpler and usually cost less. Check how far the chair moves, how the footrest extends, and how the seat feels at each position. Locally owned since 2010, we'll tell you honestly which chair fits your body and budget.

Fitting a Recliner in Your Space

Recliners need clearance behind and in front to open fully. Wall-hugger designs need only a few inches of wall gap, while classic mechanisms need more. Swivel gliders need swing room on all sides. Check the chair's footprint on its listing, and measure the space it needs at full recline before you commit.

    Reclining Furniture FAQ

    What's the price range?

Prices depend on the mechanism, size, and fabric. Swivel and accent chairs cost less than power recliners with ottomans, and made-to-order reclining sofas and sectionals are priced by configuration and fabric.

Power or manual recliner: which should I choose?

Power gives infinite positions and an easier close, and battery options keep cords out of the room; manual mechanisms are simpler and cost less. If an outlet is not near the chair, a battery option or a manual recliner may suit you better.

How much room does a reclining sofa need?

Check the sofa's depth at full recline and allow for the footrest. Wall-hugger designs need only a few inches behind the sofa, while classic mechanisms need more. Measure doorways and stairwells before you order.
