Our notes on this piece, including its condition.
This black LC2-style armchair brings the graphic punch of early modernist seating into a compact club-chair silhouette. Thick, squared cushions sit inside a continuous tubular steel frame, the same boxy geometry that made the LC2 a mid-century icon : here as a style piece, not a signed original, with the bold black upholstery doing the visual work.
The structure is metal, a clean tubular steel line set against black leather cushions. At 30.5 by 27.5 by 27 inches, it stays low and wide enough for a real sit without swallowing a smaller room. Condition is excellent: the cushions hold their square edges and the frame shows no structural wobble, the kind of well-kept presentation you hope to find on a consignment floor.
Set it beside a walnut side table and a floor lamp, or let two face each other across a low cocktail table. The black leather and steel lines pair easily with warm wood, a rust pillow, or a single graphic print. If you have been hunting vintage armchairs Portland collectors actually sit in, this one is ready for a living room, reading corner, or office lounge.
