Cardiff Outdoor Chair

Cardiff is bench-made from FSC-certified teak, cut into angular framing and softened with dowel edges so the silhouette stays light instead of blocky. Strap detailing carries a loose, knife-edge back cushion, and a heavy fixed seat cushion in sand-toned olefin adds just enough weight to keep the design from feeling flimsy. It is a transitional outdoor accent chair that would not look out of place moved indoors for a season.

At just under 34 inches wide, it has real lounging depth without swallowing a small patio, and the teak frame is built to take weather rather than hide from it.

Styling Tips

Teak this angular pairs best with simple lines around it rather than a lot of pattern, so keep a nearby outdoor sofa or sectional in a solid weave and let Cardiff's frame do the visual work. A single chair works well as a reading spot at the edge of a patio, away from the main seating group.

Group two facing each other over a low outdoor coffee table for a conversational corner, or pull one up solo next to a fire pit. Round out the space from our outdoor furniture collection so the teak tones match across pieces.

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.

If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.

Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.

Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.

Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
