Although they did not carry what I was looking for initially, I was pleasantly surprised to find a personal text from Addie from the store about a month or so later, when a couch of similar description to the one I’d been hoping for came in!

Ask Joey what’s come inThis Chocolate Brown Pier 1 tufted pouf is the kind of low, tactile find that stops you mid-aisle: a compact cube of button tufting with that warm, cocoa depth that reads more jewel-box than beige. Pier 1 made these global-living poufs for stacking, perching, and kicking off shoes, and this one still has the plump, hand-pressed grid that made them so easy to live with.
Upholstered over a supportive inner core, it measures a tidy 22 x 22 x 20 inches: low enough to slide under a cocktail table, sturdy enough as extra seating. Condition is honestly good: typical wear from use shows as softened tufts and light surface scuffing rather than tears or sag, the sort of patina that says it was actually enjoyed. The Chocolate Brown cover is the whole story here, rich and color-forward against pale rugs or teak.
Park it as a footrest beside a lounge chair, or use a pair as casual seating around a floor tray. It plays well with brass, rattan, and a punchy pillow mix. Seekers of vintage ottomans Portland will like how little floor it asks for while still bringing personality to a living room or bedroom nook.
