What neighbors say about ordering custom here

Google reviews of our Portland store, and what each one means for the Haze.

  1. This is the second time I’ve gotten a semi-custom couch from What’s New and both times I had a great experience. The furniture is high quality and really lasts.

Covered by the maker’s warranty. Ask us for the terms; if anything goes wrong, we file the claim for you. Made-to-order pieces and floor models are final sale, so ask us anything before you buy.

  2. We had a very difficult time choosing a fabric (took us more than a month 🙃), and came into the store SO MANY TIMES.

Sizes, materials and care

The Haze Sectional Sofa is a three-piece Stylus sectional from the Architect Collection — a one-arm sofa, a corner, and a second one-arm sofa, each 45" deep and 33" high. It is a genuinely deep, lounge-scale sectional: Feathersoft-Plus seats and Feathersoft backs are standard rather than an upcharge, which is why it sits softer than most frames at this size. Shown here in Nexus Toffee.

Features & Construction

  • Configuration: Three-piece — one-arm sofa (85" W), corner (45" W), one-arm sofa (85" W)
  • Depth & height: 45" D x 33" H
  • Fill: Feathersoft-Plus seats and Feathersoft backs, standard on the Architect Collection
  • Live fabric: Nexus Toffee
  • Cushions: Includes 22x22 boxed and 28x18 toss pillows
  • Custom options: Orderable in any Stylus fabric grade and configuration

Styling Tips

Haze is the choice when the room is big enough to be a real lounge and you want people to sink in rather than perch. The 45-inch depth is the whole point, and also the thing to measure for — leave genuine walkway clearance on the open side. Nexus Toffee is a warm mid-tone that keeps a large frame from reading heavy. If the footprint is too much, compare the shallower frames in our sectionals and sofas, or browse the full range of Stylus upholstery.

Care

  • Cleaning: Vacuum with a soft brush attachment and blot spills promptly with a clean, dry cloth
  • Protection: Keep sharp objects, harsh cleaners, and extended direct sunlight off the fabric
  • Cushions: Rotate and fluff loose cushions regularly so the fill stays even
  • Fit check: Confirm doorways, stair turns, and the delivery path before purchase
