Google reviews of our Portland store, and what each one means for the Joss.

I bought their in house brand and LOVE IT. I got the Hawthorne sectional and 2 Cia Chairs. Delivery was easy!

For this piece

This piece is part of that in-house line, sold under our own name.
I have stairs and tight corners; I was very worried the couch wouldn’t fit. But they consistently reassured me, and they got it into my apartment beautifully.

Ramona Perrault · Google review · Sep 2026

For this piece

The first flight of stairs is on us; a second flight is $50, and $25 for each one after. Tell us about tight turns when we schedule.

They communicated, called in advance, showed up on time and were super quick hauling away my old sofa and bringing in my new one all the way up 3 flights of stairs.

Sizes, materials and care

The Joss Armchair blends mid-century charm with soft textured upholstery — a 33-inch-square cocooning seat with rounded arms in three quiet colorways: Toffee, Bone, and Walnut. The proportions invite real lounging, and the texture of the fabric reads as a tactile counter to its clean lines. Browse all accent chairs in our Portland showroom.

Details

Dimensions: 33" W × 33" D × 29" H — a true cocooning square
Colorways: Toffee (warm tan), Bone (off-white), Walnut (deep brown)
Upholstery: Soft textured fabric with visible weave
Arms: Rounded, low-slung silhouette that hugs the seat
Cushioning: Plush seat over a sturdy hardwood frame
Profile: Low mid-century stance — sits well under windows and in open rooms
Collection: What's New private label — pairs with the matching Joss Sofa

Styling Tips

The Joss was designed as a family: pair it with the curved Joss Sofa for a matched conversation corner, or let it stand alone beside a side table and arc lamp in a Portland living room. Bone keeps a bright room airy; Toffee and Walnut ground lighter rugs and plaster walls. An ottoman in a contrasting tone completes the reading-nook brief — or buy a pair in two different colorways and angle them toward each other for an instant conversation corner.
