Otis Sofa

The Otis wraps deep cushioning inside an exposed parawood frame, so the wood shows at the arms and base while the upholstery stays soft and enveloping in between. That contrast, hard frame against soft fill, is the whole design idea, and it reads more tailored than a fully upholstered sofa without losing any comfort. It is a sofa for a living room that wants some wood grain in the seating, not just the tables.

At 97 inches wide, it seats three comfortably and reads substantial without becoming a full sectional, and its 37.5-inch depth gives enough room to sit back rather than perch on the edge.

Styling Tips

Because the frame is exposed wood rather than fully upholstered, the Otis pairs naturally with other exposed-leg furniture, a wood coffee table or a cane-backed chair, rather than a fully skirted, traditional living room set. Arden Charcoal grounds a lighter room, while Thames Cream keeps things airy if the rest of the space is darker.

Give it a rug large enough that all four legs sit on it, and finish the room from our sofas collection with a complementary accent chair rather than a matching loveseat.
