What neighbors say about getting it home

Google reviews of our Portland store, and what each one means for the Rattan-Wrapped.

  1. I have stairs and tight corners; I was very worried the couch wouldn’t fit. But they consistently reassured me, and they got it into my apartment beautifully.

The first flight of stairs is on us; a second flight is $50, and $25 for each one after. Tell us about tight turns when we schedule.

  2. They communicated, called in advance, showed up on time and were super quick hauling away my old sofa and bringing in my new one all the way up 3 flights of stairs.

Sizes, materials and care

The stem leaves the base straight, then bends forward in one long arc and hangs the shade out over the room. That reach is the whole point: it puts light beside a chair without asking for a side table to sit on. Browse the rest of our lighting.

Details

  • 16.5"W x 23"D x 62"H
  • Cone shade tapers 6" to 16.5" across and stands 13" tall
  • Shade is woven raffia in a muted olive green, open at the bottom
  • Stem is coil-wrapped in natural rattan over its full arc
  • Weighted round base in an antique brass finish
  • Pushbutton switch, brown cord, takes one 40W bulb (not included)
  • By Kalalou

Styling

Set the base behind the arm of a chair so the shade lands over your shoulder, and leave the arc pointing into the room rather than at a wall. The olive shade warms up cool grey and slate paint, which is exactly the room it was photographed in. More in living room furniture.

Care

  • Wipe clean with a lint-free, dry cloth
  • Dust the raffia along the strands, not against them
  • Do not use water or solvent on the rattan wrap
  • Keep out of direct sun to limit fading

A few more to fall for.
