Styling

Set it with the larger tree at staggered heights and you have a whole grove on a console; alone it holds down one end of a mantel next to a stack of books. The raw teak reads as warm against dark paint and disappears pleasantly into a room of oak and linen, so it can stay out through the winter rather than going back in the box on the 26th. Because it is unpainted, it will not fight whatever else is out. Raw teak sits comfortably against dark green, warm white and black paint, and it is one of the few holiday pieces that still looks intentional next to a plain oak sideboard in February. Give it a little light from the side rather than straight on — the shadow between the petal layers is what makes the carving read from across the room. Keep the base clear of runners and cloths so the cut edge of the slab stays visible.

Care

• Wipe clean with a lint-free, dry cloth
• Keep out of direct sun and away from heat vents to limit checking
• Lift by the trunk, not by the carved branches
• Wax or oil is not required and will darken the raw teak
• Expect small checks and colour shift over time; that is normal for unfinished solid wood

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.

If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.

Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.

Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.

Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
