Mid-Century Article Bar Cabinet

A crisp white Article bar cabinet is the kind of find that stops you mid-aisle: clean mid-century lines, a tall, slim silhouette, and that quietly graphic presence Article is known for. The white finish keeps the piece bright without going precious, so it reads as a modern bar more than a period replica: color-forward in the Portland sense, ready to hold bottles, glassware, and a little attitude.

Built as a vertical storage cabinet, it stands about 61 inches high, 31.5 inches wide, and 16 inches deep, so it tucks into a dining alcove or living-room corner without eating the room. Typical engineered-wood construction gives it a smooth, painted surface and straightforward door-and-shelf storage; condition is good, with the honest scuffs and wear you’d expect from a well-used consignment piece rather than a showroom-fresh crate. Nothing hides the fact it’s lived a life: just enough character to keep it from looking sterile.

Park it beside a walnut dining table, under a graphic print, or as the quiet white counterpoint to a velvet lounge chair. Mix in brass hardware, amber glass, and a plant on top. If you’re hunting vintage storage Portland, this Article cabinet is the tall, white bar piece that actually fits a real apartment.
