Certain lamps simply look correct on a console, and the Elite is one of them — a slender aluminum base in an antique brass finish rising to a crisp rectangular linen shade in off-white. It takes classic lamp proportions and sharpens them into something modern, which is why it works equally well in a traditional den and a pared-back apartment. Round out the room from our lighting collection. Antique brass has warmth that polished metals lack, and the linen shade doubles down on it.

Styling Tips
The Elite's rectangular shade makes it a natural for rectangular surfaces — consoles, buffets, and desks — where a round shade can look adrift. Use a matched pair to bookend a sideboard or frame a bed, letting the brass warm cooler palettes of gray and white. It stands 28 inches, tall enough to light a reading spot beside living room seating, and its slim base leaves the surface below free for the things a table actually collects. Brass pairs especially well with marble side tables. At this scale it also serves nicely as an office lamp with presence.
Care:
Dust the aluminum base with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive polish on the antique brass finish. Dust the linen shade gently and keep liquid cleaners away from the fabric. Lightbulb not included; follow the wattage rating on the fixture.
