Shop modern furniture in Portland: clean-lined sofas, sculptural chairs, contemporary tables, and modern decor, mixing new designs with one-of-a-kind consigned modern pieces.
Modern, Contemporary & Mid-Century
This collection spans the modern spectrum: strict contemporary minimalism, warm organic-modern, and the mid-century silhouettes Portland never stopped loving. For the dedicated deep-dive into walnut-and-teak territory, see our mid-century modern furniture collection.
Modern Seating
Track-arm and bench-seat sofas, low-profile sectionals, and sculptural accent chairs: many built to order, so you can choose a modern frame in a fabric that suits your room.
Tables, Storage & Case Goods
Live-edge and lacquered dining tables, minimalist coffee tables, and clean-fronted storage pieces that keep the lines quiet and the clutter hidden.
One-of-a-Kind Modern Consignments
The collection includes consigned modern furniture: designer pieces, contemporary sofas, and vintage modern finds. These are one-offs that move fast; check newest consignments for the freshest arrivals.
Judging Proportion and Finish
Modern furniture lives and dies on proportion and finish quality, which photos can hide. Check the scale against your room, run a hand along edges and finishes, and look at how the legs and joints are made. Locally owned since 2010.
Modern Lighting & Decor
The last 10% of a modern room is editing and accents: sculptural lamps, clean-lined mirrors, and a few deliberate objects. Pull from home decor and the lighting collection to layer the room.
Modern Furniture FAQ
What's the difference between modern and mid-century modern here?
Mid-century modern refers to 1950s–70s design language, with tapered legs, warm woods, and low profiles, while this broader collection includes current contemporary design too. If you want strictly MCM, use the MCM collection.
Is consigned modern furniture in good condition?
Consigned pieces are approved by our team, and you should look closely at condition and ask questions before you buy.
Can I get modern furniture on a budget?
Yes. Consignment is one way to do it. Also browse furniture under $1,000 for new in-stock modern pieces.
