Irish Coast Slat Back Dining Chair in African Dusk

Two hundred years of Irish carpentry are baked into this chair's design — a tall slat back, honest proportions, and the jigsaw-style joinery that made 18th-century Irish furniture nearly indestructible. LH builds it today from FSC-certified reclaimed and recycled timber, complete with hardware of recycled metal, and finishes it by hand in the deep African Dusk tone through layered brushed applications. Styling Tips

Slat backs are the workhorse of farmhouse seating — run six along a plank-top dining table and the rhythm of the verticals does the decorating for you. The espresso African Dusk finish grounds lighter floors and plays handsomely against cream walls. A bench along one side keeps the arrangement casual and seats an extra guest in a pinch. Mix in the hand-hole chair at the table heads, and store the linens in a matching piece from the dining room collection.

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.

If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.

Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.

Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.

Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
