The Powell Sofa is What's New's own take on the mid-century classic: padded arms set at a light, lounge-friendly angle, cushion insets that keep the lines tailored, and a walnut wood trim base on angled tapered legs. It's the sofa equivalent of a well-cut jacket — vintage in spirit, current in comfort, and made to be sat in daily.

Styling Tips
Walnut legs ask for friends — echo them with a walnut coffee table or a wood-framed accent chair, and the room ties itself together. Keep pillows and throws in two or three tones so the tailored cushion insets stay visible, and let a floor lamp at one arm turn the Powell into the evening reading spot. Those angled tapered legs lift it off the floor, keeping a smaller room feeling open — finish the space from our living room collection.

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.
If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.
Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.
Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.
Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
