The Casey is a compact queen sleeper sofa built for the way Portland actually lives — small spaces, frequent guests, and a sofa that needs to do more than sit there. Its hybrid hidden-bed mechanism unfolds smoothly into a real 6-inch foam queen mattress without the bars-and-springs feel of a traditional pull-out.
Features & Construction
- Dimensions: 74.5"W x 39.25"D x 33.5"H — queen sleeping surface 60" wide
- Frame: Birch plywood + Nordic Spruce hardwood with no-sag spring suspension for long-term durability
- Cushions: Cold-cured foam seat cushions for consistent recovery; loose back cushions with zippered closures for easy cleaning
- Mattress: 6-inch high-resilience foam queen mattress permanently integrated into the seat — no separate mattress to wrestle
- Mechanism: Hybrid dual-motion sleeper — pull the seat forward and the foam mattress reveals the queen bed in one motion
- Fabrics: Three performance options — Yedi 394, Rene 01, and Rene 03
- Vendor: Built by Luonto, the Finnish-Norwegian sleeper specialist
- Assembly: Legs attach on delivery; mechanism arrives pre-assembled and ready to convert
Styling Tips
At 74 inches wide, the Casey fits comfortably in apartment-sized living rooms, dens, home offices, and guest rooms where a full sofa would crowd the floor. Pair the lighter Rene 01 pearl-grey with warm walnut tones for a Scandinavian read; the deeper Rene 03 anchors a moodier living room or media space. Browse our full selection of sofa beds if you need something larger.
Care: Vacuum upholstery weekly with a soft brush attachment. Spot-clean with a mild soap solution and a clean white cloth — blot, don't rub. Rotate and flip back cushions monthly to even out wear; the zippered closures make spot-cleaning the covers straightforward. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fabric fading.
Mechanism: The hybrid mechanism is rated for daily conversion. Lift firmly from the seat front to engage; the foam mattress unfolds in a single motion. No tools or extra mattress required.
Warranty: Luonto provides a 10-year limited warranty on frames and mechanisms. Fabric warranty varies by grade — full details available on request.

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you bought. Not sure it's right? Ask about “If It Fits, It Sits” — take select in-stock pieces home for up to 2 days and live with them before you commit.
If your item came boxed and you still have the packaging, you've got 7 days from the day you get it to tell us you'd like to try something else. Bring it back to the showroom unused and in its box, and we'll put the full amount on store credit so you can find the right piece. Credit doesn't expire.
Custom orders, consignment, and floor models work differently — those are built to your specs, owned by someone else, or the last one on the floor, so they're final. That said, if you're in a real bind on a custom piece, tell us. Some of our vendors will take one back for a restocking fee, and we're happy to ask on your behalf.
Warranty
Warranty coverage comes from the manufacturer, so terms vary by brand. Several of the makers we carry offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, the springs, and the resiliency of the cushions; others cover a set number of years. Fabric and leather coverage is typically separate from structural coverage.
Whatever your piece carries, you don't have to chase it down. If something arrives damaged or a defect appears later, contact us and our claims department files with the manufacturer on your behalf and sees it through.
